We are so glad that you are here! We want you to know that for whatever reason you are reading this right now, you are loved, and you have a friend in the name of Jesus Christ.
I was raised as a Christian, in the home of a Baptist Pastor, and for many long years I ran away from God. I found that no matter where I ran or how much I tried to avoid Him, He was always there. He was pursuing me because of one reason, HE LOVES ME, and I can promise you not only from my experience, but also from His Word, the Bible, that He most definitely loves you too. He is also pursuing you and wanting you to have a love relationship with Him. His love is why you are here reading this right now. The Bible puts it this way;
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.(KJV)
When I realized the gravity of that scripture, it changed my life, because I realized that the God of the Universe had done something horrendous out of pure love for me; that He not only wanted to save me, but He wanted a living, present tense relationship with me! He did not want me to perish, but instead did everything possible to keep me from spending eternity without Him.
2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. (KJV)
Then on top of all that, He gave me His Word to know that I could have eternal life. He gave me something to stand my faith upon.
1Jo 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV)
Now all of this is wonderful and I wish that I could say that as a young child I gave my heart to Jesus Christ and was gloriously saved, but I can’t. The truth is that for many years I struggled with the thought of being saved. I was very rebellious and wanted things my way; I didn’t deny the truth, but instead I just avoided it. But God continued to pursue me through my wife, the people in my church, sermons I had heard, my circumstances, and through scripture. I didn’t become Born Again until I was 20 yrs old.
The night I trusted Christ, I did not put my faith in the way I felt. I did not put my faith in water baptism, church membership, my good works, or the fact that I was a Baptist Preacher’s son. The night my life became His was when I repented of my sins and put my faith in Him & what His Word says. I trusted my life and eternal soul to Jesus Christ, the One, True God, and He did exactly what He said He would do. My life is changed and I know it! I have the peace and assurance that I will be with Him now and for all eternity because of what His Word says.
1Jo 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. (KJV)
I know that I am saved and on my way to Heaven because of who Jesus is and what he has done. My faith rests upon His Word, the Bible. Do you have that assurance and peace? I would like you to ask yourself this question and if your answer is yes, I am asking you to put that answer to the test. I wholeheartedly agree with what some of the most famous and well known LDS Prophets have told us to do:
George Albert Smith: MORMON PROPHET "If a faith will not bear to be investigated; if its preachers and professors are afraid to have it examined, their foundation must be very weak." Journal of Discourses, Volume 14, Page 216 Dr. Hugh Nibley: MORMON TOP SCHOLAR "The Book of Mormon can and should be tested. It invites criticism." An Approach to The Book of Mormon, 1957, p. 13.
My friend, I am not saved today because of my religious affiliation or church. I am saved because of Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross. I put His Word to the test and weighed the evidence. I took the time to think about whether or not what I had been taught about Christianity was true or not. After all, it is my soul. No one else will answer for my soul except me. I am asking you with all my heart to just take a few moments out of your life and put what you believe to the test. When I did this, it went against everything that was engrained in me while growing up, but I found the Truth. Brigham Young: MORMON PROPHET "Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it, and see if it will stand the test." Journal of Discourses, Volume 16, p. 46, 1873 I am simply asking you to do what your prophet said to do. What do you have to lose? It is your soul; put your faith to the test. What is your faith resting on? Is it the truth? Jesus promised us this, Matt. 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (KJV) What in the world do you have to lose by putting your faith to the test? We will be praying for you and I challenge you, no, I dare you to watch the two videos on this page and examine your faith. Why would anyone be afraid to do this. If you have the truth, it will stand. Please, God loves you so much and desires for you to know Him. John Taylor: MORMON PROPHET "I think a full, free talk is frequently of great use; we want nothing secret nor underhanded, and I for one want no association with things that cannot be talked about and will not bear investigation." Journal of Discourses, Volume 20, Page 264.
After viewing the videos, we welcome your emails and phone calls and would love to answer any questions that you may have.
In His Grace,
